Zone 2 is the heart rate range that is proven to burn the most fat for fuel over carbs.

Think conversation pace, where you can hold a constant conversation with someone. You might scoff because it feels too easy! I definitely did, but seriously, trust the process to burn that fat and build a broad aerobic foundation for future growth.

For ‘most’ of you reading this, Zone 2 is likely in the 125–145 bpm range. *Estimate 70–80% of your max heart rate. For example, if your max HR is 180, zone 2 is in the 126–144 bpm range.
